The journey of Lead4Change began in 2020, during the peak of the COVID-19 crisis, on the founder’s field visit in Ahmedabad while working with an organization in Gujarat.
During a ration distribution event, a woman shared her distress. Overwhelmed by multiple debts taken just to sustain her family during uncertain times, she broke down and said, I’ve taken so many loans… I don’t know how to come out of this. The burden of unplanned borrowing had deeply affected her life and family to the extent that she confessed she had even begun to contemplate giving up hope.
Instead of offering advice alone, the founder listened with empathy and gently introduced the idea that recovery was possible through awareness, financial discipline, and small but consistent savings. She was encouraged to restart, take control, and lead change in her own life.
That simple conversation became a turning point, laying the foundation for Lead4Change,
Two and a half years later despite the continued challenges of the pandemic she called back with pride: “I’ve cleared almost all my loans. Just one remains, and I will repay it soon.”
Her journey reaffirmed a powerful truth: Real change begins with awareness, education, and support.
This moment became the inspiration behind Lead4Change, a financial literacy movement committed to helping individuals break cycles of debt and build pathways toward financial stability and dignity.
Today, with a growing network of changemakers, Lead4Change continues to empower communities to take control of their financial futures and move toward lasting well-being.
